As 2010 comes to a close...

As 2010 comes to a close, the Meyersons are able to reflect on all of their many blessings despite a few bumps in the road.

Mike works constantly to build up his new company, Premier Video Solutions, a company that specializes in video mystery shopping at various locations around the country. He hopes to pick up more national clients at the start of the new year. When he’s not working hard, he’s engrossed in BYU football or basketball games or playing basketball at the church.

Bonnie is in her 4th year at American Preparatory Academy and her 2nd at the West Valley campus. She is the Curriculum Coordinator and teaches 2 spelling classes and a reading class. She loves her students and loves that the kids at school call her "The Book Lady."

Travis, Jenny, Lexi (8) and Lucy (1 ½) are enjoying making their new home in Hamilton, New Jersey their own. Travis received a promotion at his company and stays busy as his ward's Elders Quorum President. Jenny has her hands fun with the girls and taking in foster babies. Lexi has had a busy year, getting baptized in September, losing a couple of teeth, doing well in her new school and helping her mom with Lucy. She's a great big sister and Lucy adores her. "The Goose" is growing up so quickly. She talks a blue streak and makes a huge impression on everyone she's around because of her amazing blue eyes and beautiful smile. Mike and Bonnie were able to fly back to New Jersey to attend Lexi's baptism and were able to go again at the beginning of December to enjoy an early Christmas with them.

Chad, Meagan, Ashlin (5), and Tayley (2 1/2) came for a few days, before heading to Logan for their Christmas. Tayley spent most of her time playing dress up and Ashlin occupied herself with trying to dress up and carry around Daisy, Jodi's toy poodle. They love Florida, except for the alligators, snakes and armadillos. Ashlin is doing very well in kindergarten and assures us that she is the only one in her class that has ALWAYS been on green (never gets in trouble). She was on a cheerleading squad this year which cheered for a football team of 5 year old boys. She has definitely found "her thing." Tayley has learned the art of cheer right along with her sister. It's quite entertaining to watch them. Chad has been promoted to Director of Global Sales for Jet Blue. He and his family have been able to travel all around the Caribbean and South America. Mike and I are blessed to be able to use his flight benefits, which allow us to see kids and grandkids since they are spread out across the country.

Derek and Betsy are in Ohio where they purchased their very first house and they spend a good deal of their time trying to make it look even better—repainting, reflooring, etc. Betsy works for Blue Technologies as a recruiter and trainer and Derek just passed the test to become a manager for Enterprise. They have a cat named Max, whom they absolutely adore, who thinks he's a dog.

Jodi switched schools and now teaches at American Leadership Academy, a charter high school in Spanish Fork, Utah. She still loves teaching and really likes her new school and students but misses her old students at Merit Academy. She just took her GRE in order to get into grad school where she wants to major in Education. We don't know where she will be going for her Masters but secretly hope it will be in Utah! She is looking at BYU, University of Utah or somewhere in California.
