As 2009 comes to an end...

The Meyersons want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and to update you on the fabulous year that we've had!

Mike has kept himself busy by starting a new company! Because of this new endeavor, he has spent a lot time on the phone with clients and traveling. Big change for him, right? He has been working at the beautiful new Draper temple that opened in the Spring, along with working on the Scout Committee for the Boy Scouts. He still loves playing basketball and riding his bike, and as always cheering on BYU cougars as they destroy the University of Utah.

Bonnie is now working at a brand new school in West Valley, Utah. American Preparatory Academy, the school she has worked at for a couple of years, opened a new campus. The school is designed for refugees and immigrants. She has been running the curriculum room, as well as teaching reading classes. She loves that she doesn't have as much grading to do this year, and most of all, loves working with such unique and interesting kids.

Travis added another member to his family when Lucy ("The Goose") was born on May 12. She is an adorably cute and perpetually happy baby. Alexis (7) takes being a big sis very seriously. Travis, Jenn and the kiddos moved into their first house in September! Thanks to the ridiculous Jersey housing market, it took some serious digging, but they finally found a great house. And no surprise, Jenn wasted no time painting, decorating, and renovating it to look fabulous. Alexis started first grade this year, which was an even bigger deal since it's at a new school. Thankfully, Lexi is still just as lovable and has no problem making new friends. The whole family also got to take a Disney Cruise with Jenn's whole family!

Chad and his family have had quite the eventful year. After Chad got a big promotion at Jet Blue, they sold their house in North Salt Lake and moved to sunny Orlando, Florida. They found a beautiful house in Windermere, complete with a pool and hot tub (which the girls use almost daily.) While it's been hard for them to be away from family, they get to enjoy the warm weather and Disneyworld only a few minutes away. Meagan has already filled the house with beautiful decorations and photos of the family. Ashlin (4) loves school. She's just learning to read and loves it. Tayley (1 1/2) got the sweetness and sass from her sister. She has just started talking and is already making jokes. It's hard to be so far from them, but thankfully they all fly free and get to visit a lot!

Derek got married! We added another Meyerson girl to the family. Betsy and Derek met at Slippery Rock while they were going to college, and have been dating for a few years. They got married in September in Ohio, where Betsy is from and where they both live now. Derek got a great new job at Enterprise. The family is still shocked that he wears a suit to a 9-5 job, but he loves it! Derek and Betsy may not have any kids yet, but they make up for that with their cat, Max who plays fetch and does flips.

Jodi is in her second year of teaching at Merit Academy in Springville. This year she is teaching 11th and 12th grade Language Arts, Yearbook/Journalism, Student Leadership/Government, and Literature and Film. She is grateful to be in her second year of teaching, which has been a lot easier than last year, and she still absolutely loves her job. This year she moved out of Provo after five years and moved to...Orem! (Only about 10 minutes north) Jodi wasn't the only Meyerson to NOT add another member to her family. In April, she got Daisy, a red toy poodle. She's adorably cute and even has the same hair color as Jodi.

As you can see, this has been a great year for the Meyersons. And we got to cap it all off with a weekend in Florida together (to celebrate Christmas...even though we were a couple weeks early.) Chad and Meagan hosted everyone (except Derek and Betsy who couldn't make it) at the new house in Orlando. We were only there for a few days, but we managed to pack in visiting Epcot, seeing Santa, petting alligators, hot tubbing, gingerbread house making, movie watching, and presents! It was a blast.

We want to send you all our love and wish you very happy holidays!

Love,

The Meyersons
